‘256.84 crore’: How Much Prize Money Did Euro 2024 Winners Spain and Euro Runners Up England get?

Spain have been crowned Champions of Europe for a fourth time as they beat England in the finals of Euro 2024 2-1 after a late 87th minute winner by Mikel Oyarzabal.  They have now overtaken Germany to become the only team to have won four European Championships.

Spain were simply the best team in the tournament as they won all their 7 games in dominant fashion. Scoring a whopping 15 goals in the entire tournament. The final was no different as they completely dominated England and in the end were deserved winners.

As Spain win Euro 2024, here’s how much prize money was allotted to La Rojas after their fantastic triumph.

How Much Prize Money Did Spain Win In Euro 2024 Final?

Spain’s coronation came as their captain Alvaro Morata lifted the Euro 2024 trophy after what was a splendid tournament. As Spain lifted Euro 2024 some lucrative rewards, accolades and prize money will be heading their way. Here’s the amount of Prize Money awarded in Euro 2024.

As the dust settles at Euro 2024, according to UEFA all 24 participating teams in Euro 2024 are awarded the prize money of 331 Million Euros in total which equates to 285 Million Pounds and 360 Million Dollars.

Each team gets about 28.5 Million Euros for each win the group stages. 

The Prize money that Spain took home was â‚¬28.25 million (approximately Rs 256.84 crore) while England won â‚¬24.25 million (approximately Rs 220.48 crore) for being the runners-up in Euro 2024.

A Six Way Tie For European Golden Boot

England striker Harry Kane finished Euro 2024 in a six-way tie for top scorer, another individual accolade for a player yet to win a major trophy for club or country.

Kane ended the tournament tied on three goals with Spain midfielder Dani Olmo, Germany midfielder Jamal Musiala, Netherlands forward Cody Gakpo, Slovakia winger Ivan Schranz and Georgia striker Georges Mikautadze.

Kane has now been a runner-up in back-to-back European Championship finals after England’s loss to Italy three years ago, and a runner-up in one Champions League final and two English League Cups, even as he’s won a string of individual scoring awards.
