NEW DELHI: A rising star in Mumbai cricket, Ira Jadhav rewrote the history books with a monumental unbeaten knock of 346 runs off just 157 balls in the Women’s U19 One Day Trophy on Sunday, becoming the first player to score a triple hundred in the respective domestic tournament.
Her record-breaking innings came against Meghalaya at the Alur Cricket Stadium in Bangalore, propelling Mumbai to a colossal 563/3 in their 50-over innings and subsequently making them the first team to score 500-plus runs in this tournament.

Jadhav’s innings was nothing short of spectacular, laced with 42 fours and 16 sixes, displaying her dominance over the hapless Meghalaya bowlers.
Her breathtaking knock was scored at a staggering strike rate of 220.38.
Furthermore, the young batter was involved in two major partnerships that set the tone for Mumbai’s innings. She added a remarkable 274 runs for the second wicket with captain Hurley Gala, who contributed an attacking 116 off 79 balls.
Later, Jadhav teamed up with Diksha Pawar to pile on another 186-run stand, effectively dispiriting the Meghalaya bowling attack.
Despite their efforts, the Meghalaya bowlers found no answer to Jadhav’s brilliance. Bowlers Jayshree (2/100) and Awesa (1/125) managed breakthroughs, but Mumbai’s relentless run-scoring spree ensured the game slipped out of Meghalaya’s grasp.
Jadhav’s knock is now the highest individual score in the Women’s U19 One Day Trophy history, eclipsing previous records with ease.
Beyond the numbers, her innings reflects a promising future for Indian women’s cricket.
Chasing a mammoth target of 564, Meghalaya face an uphill battle as they aim to overcome both a psychological and numerical mountain.
