Watch: PM Modi, cabinet ministers attends special screening of 'The Sabarmati Report'

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended a special screening of ‘The Sabarmati Report‘ at the Balyogi Auditorium in Parliament on Monday, accompanied by senior cabinet members, MPs, and the film’s cast.
Visuals from the event showed PM Modi walking alongside information and broadcasting minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and parliamentary affairs minister Pralhad Joshi as they made their way to the auditorium. Union home minister Amit Shah, defence minister Rajnath Singh, and other senior leaders were also present at the screening.

The film, directed by Dheeraj Sarna and starring Vikrant Massey, Ridhi Dogra, and Raashii Khanna, revisits the tragic burning of the S-6 coach of the Sabarmati Express near Gujarat’s Godhra station on February 27, 2002.
Chief ministers, including Uttar Pradesh’s Yogi Adityanath and Goa’s Pramod Sawant, have similarly commended the film, with some states opting to make it tax-free to encourage viewership. Prominent leaders and actors have praised the film for its narrative and portrayal of the 2002 Godhra incident.
PM Modi has also lauded the film for its efforts to present the truth. In response to a post on social media platform X featuring the movie’s trailer, the Prime Minister commented, “It is good that this truth is coming out, and that too in a way common people can see it. A fake narrative can persist only for a limited period of time. Eventually, the facts will always come out!”
