Biju Janata Dal on Wednesday said it’s not party to the INDIA bloc‘s decision to move a resolution to remove Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar. “BJD is not a party within INDIA bloc, and therefore, not a party to its decision. We continue to remain on our path of being equidistant from both NDA and INDIA, and on this issue we are neutral,” BJD RS member Sasmit Patra told TOI.
On Tuesday, BJD chief and former Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik said they were examining the issues and would “take whatever step is necessary”. BJD has seven members in RS. The party has raised concerns over disruptions of House proceedings.
