Ruhr’s 27th-minute goal put Germany ahead, but Sukhjeet Singh’s 36th-minute strike brought India back into contention.
The decisive goal was scored by Miltkau in the 54th minute.
India began the match strongly, pressing the German defense and scoring the first goal through Harmanpreet.
However, Germany equalized in the second quarter with a penalty corner by Peillat and took the lead with a penalty stroke conversion by Ruhr.
India tied the game again in the 36th minute with a penalty corner deflected by Sukhjeet.
In the final quarter, Germany’s Miltkau scored the winning goal six minutes before the end, making the final score 3-2 in favor of Germany.
Despite their efforts, India could only convert one out of their 11 penalty corners, while Germany had four penalty corners in total.
India will now face Spain in the bronze medal match. Germany will compete against the Netherlands in the final.
