HYDERABAD: Telangana chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday said the Congress government would ensure freedom to follow and propagate religious faith of their choice, to everyone. Speaking at Christmas celebrations at L B Stadium here, he said the government is organising the festivities all over the state.
“The government would not tolerate anyone speaking against another religion. People have the right to follow the religion they believe in,” he said.
He also said the government would ensure the safety of the Christian community and it would take up special programmes for the welfare of Dalit Christians.
Reddy praised the services of Christian organisations in the fields of education and health.
State ministers, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president and MLC B Mahesh Kumar Goud, and others were present on the occasion.
