Wipro is facing another high-profile departure. The IT giant’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Subha Tatavarti has resigned. This is fourth top-level exit at the company. August 16, 2024 will be Tatavarti’s last day at the company. Tatavarti, who joined Wipro in 2021 under former CEO Thierry Delaporte, is the latest in a string of senior executives to leave the company since Srini Pallia took over as CEO in April this year. The departure comes on the heels of other key exits, including Chief Delivery Officer Ajit Mahale, former COO Amit Choudhary, and former head of APMEA Anis Chenchah. All of these executives were part of Delaporte’s team.
Wipro informed of Tatavarti’s resignation in an exchange filing. The filing also has Tatavarti’s resignation letter addressed to Wipro CEO Srini Pallia enclosed.

Wipro sued its CFO for joining Cognizant

Wipro has been undergoing a significant restructuring under Pallia, aiming to address the talent drain that began during Delaporte’s tenure. The company has faced over 20 senior departures in the past two years, with the most notable being former CFO Jatin Dalal’s move to rival Cognizant. Dalal, along with another senior healthcare vertical head who also happened to join Cognizant, was sued by Wipro for breaching the non-compete agreement. However, both parties settled the lawsuits last month.
