TL;DR: Two meteor showers peak together Thursday night into Friday, but a bright full moon will make them very hard to see. The Southern Hemisphere has a better view. For a really good show, wait for the Perseids in August!
Right now, Earth is passing through two meteor showers at the same time:

What’s a "Radiant"?
Imagine standing on train tracks—the rails seem to meet at a point on the horizon. Meteors in a shower appear to shoot outward from one spot in the sky. That spot is called the radiant, and showers are named after the constellation it sits in.
The July full moon peaks on Wednesday—just before the meteor peaks. That means:

Earth orbits the Sun. Comets leave trails of dust/rock behind. When Earth plows through a trail, those bits hit our atmosphere at tens of thousands of mph, burn up, and make streaks of light. We call those meteors (or "shooting stars"). A shower is when we hit a dense trail—lots of meteors, same radiant.
No! Meteors zip across huge chunks of sky. Optics narrow your view—you’ll miss them. Naked eye + wide view = best results.
Maybe the brightest Alpha Capricornid fireballs, but the faint Aquariids will be invisible. Light pollution + moonlight = double trouble. Dark sky site strongly recommended.
No. Shower meteors are sand-to-pebble sized. They burn up 60+ miles up. Only very rare large space rocks (unrelated to showers) reach the ground as meteorites.
Showers last weeks. Try a night or two before/after—rates drop but moon rises later (darker sky!). Or just wait for the Perseids in August.
