Four-time NHRA Top Fuel world champion Antron Brown is taking a break from the dragstrip to visit the 2026 Scouting America National Jamboree. He’s there to share his story and inspire thousands of Scouts to chase their dreams!
Think of him like a superhero of racing! Antron Brown drives cars that go over 330 miles per hour in just a few seconds. He’s won the biggest championship in drag racing four times and has more than 80 national victories. That’s like winning the Super Bowl four times!
Imagine the biggest, coolest summer camp ever! Every four years, Scouts from all across America and around the world gather for 10 days of:
- Outdoor adventures (hiking, climbing, zip-lining!)
- Leadership training (learning to be a great leader)
- Making lifelong friends from different places
- Learning new skills you can’t learn anywhere else
This year’s details:
Antron has a packed schedule helping Scouts learn and grow:
He’ll spend time talking with Scouts throughout the event, sharing stories and answering questions.
He’ll give a special talk to everyone about:
Scouts get to see the Matco Tools Eagle Experience Top Fuel dragster up close!
"I’m looking forward to going to the Scouting Jamboree to spend time with the Scouts and help motivate them. We’ll talk about leadership, integrity, and the determination it takes to chase your dreams. I want every Scout to leave knowing that with hard work, the right attitude, and a willingness to keep pushing forward, anything is possible."
— Antron Brown
Scouting America leaders are excited too!
"Antron is a great example of the values and qualities that exemplify Scouting. We are grateful for his commitment to Scouting and taking time during the racing season to attend the 2026 Scouting America Jamboree."
— Eduardo Casas, Scouting America Multicultural Engagement Director
KEY TAKEAWAYS:
- Champions have values too! Antron’s success comes from the same values Scouts learn: honesty, hard work, and never quitting
- Racing is a team sport! Even though one person drives, it takes a whole crew to win
- Dreams take work! Antron didn’t become champion overnight – it took years of practice and persistence
- You can learn anywhere! Even at a race track, there are lessons about science, teamwork, and leadership
Antron Brown, a 4-time drag racing world champion, is visiting the 2026 Scouting America National Jamboree in West Virginia (July 22-31). He’ll inspire thousands of Scouts with his story of leadership, integrity, and perseverance. Scouts will also get an up-close look at his 12,000-horsepower race car and learn about the teamwork and technology behind professional drag racing. It’s a perfect match – a champion sharing the same values Scouts practice every day!
A: It’s the fastest type of car racing in the world! Two cars race side-by-side on a straight 1,000-foot track. They go from 0 to over 330 mph in less than 4 seconds. That’s faster than a fighter jet taking off!
A: Every four years – just like the Olympics! This makes it a really special, once-in-a-lifetime experience for most Scouts.
A: Because racing teaches the exact same values as Scouting: preparation, teamwork, honesty, courage, and never giving up. Antron lives the Scout Law every day on and off the track!
A: The Jamboree is mainly for registered Scouts and leaders, but there are often public days or live streams where families can watch special events like Antron’s speech.
A: A typical family car has 150-300 horsepower. Antron’s dragster has 12,000 horsepower – that’s 40 to 80 times more powerful than your parents’ car!
