Imagine you’re at the biggest comic book party of the year—San Diego Comic-Con. Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige gets on stage and casually mentions, "Oh, by the way, we have a new show called VisionQuest coming to Disney+ later this year."
But here’s the twist: He didn’t show any footage. No trailer. No pictures. Nothing.
Since the show comes out just months before the next huge Avengers movie (Avengers: Doomsday), everyone assumed a trailer would drop any second. And they were right—just not in the way anyone expected!
Instead of a fancy trailer or official photos, our very first look at VisionQuest came from… toy figures!
This week, Funko (the company that makes those cute big-headed vinyl figures) posted pictures of two new Pops on social media:
| Character | Actor | Funko Box Number |
|---|---|---|
| Vision | Paul Bettany | #1650 |
| Ultron | James Spader | #1652 |
FUN FACT: You can already pre-order them on Amazon!
Here’s the really interesting part—both figures are split right down the middle!
IMPORTANT POINT: This "half-and-half" design has fans buzzing with questions! Does the show actually show them transforming like this? Or is it just a cool toy design representing their dual nature as AI beings who can look human?
Eagle-eyed fans noticed something sneaky: Vision is #1650, Ultron is #1652… but what about #1651?
Funko numbers their figures in order, so something is missing right between them! Here are the top theories:
CALLOUT: Remember: Both Vision and Ultron were "born" from Tony Stark’s original AI assistant, J.A.R.V.I.S. They’re basically AI brothers with very different life choices!
Don’t worry—we won’t be stuck guessing for long!
Marvel Studios has a big presentation at the D23 Expo (Disney’s official fan convention).
What to expect:
A: It’s an upcoming Marvel TV show on Disney+ focusing on Vision (the android Avenger played by Paul Bettany). It was announced at Comic-Con 2026 and arrives before Avengers: Doomsday.
A: Sometimes toy companies get early designs to make merchandise. Funko jumped the gun (or was allowed to) and showed the figures before Marvel’s official marketing started. It happens more often than you’d think!
A: Yes! The Funko Pop confirms it, and you can even see he has a beard on the human side of the figure. Ultron was destroyed in Avengers: Age of Ultron, so his return is a big deal.
A: It helps to watch WandaVision (on Disney+) since it deals with Vision’s story after Avengers: Endgame. But Marvel usually designs shows to be enjoyable on their own too.
A: "Later this year (2026)" is all we know officially. The D23 Expo on August 14 should give us the exact date!
