Festival Dates: July 30 – August 2, 2026
Location: Grant Park, Chicago, IL
Lollapalooza has very specific rules about bags. Think of it like packing for a school field trip—only certain backpacks are allowed!
| Bag Type | Size Limit | Must Be Clear? | Pocket Rules |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small clutch purse | 6" × 9" or smaller | No | Max 1 pocket |
| Fanny pack / waist pack | 6" × 9" or smaller | No | Max 1 pocket |
| Clear bag (backpack, tote, etc.) | 12" × 6" × 12" or smaller | Yes | No strict pocket limit |
| Hydration pack | Any (must fit body) | No | Max 2 pockets total (1 for water bladder + 1 extra) |
IMPORTANT: All hydration packs must be completely empty of liquid when you enter. You can fill them up at water stations inside!
Don’t even try to bring these—they’ll be confiscated at the gate.
PRO TIP: If you’re unsure about an item, leave it behind. Security lines move faster when everyone follows the rules!
