‘Will not go with BJP again’, says Dushyant Chautala; ‘who invited him?,’ retorts Khattar | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: After Dushyant Chautala asserted that he wouldn’t be joining the Bhartiya Janta Party again, former Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar retorted saying “Who invited him”.
As Haryana is all set to go to polls in a single phase, Khattar expressed strong confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would secure victory.
“Who invited him? (Dushyant Chautala)?…BJP will form the government in Haryana for the third time, setting a new record. We will achieve victory under the leadership of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini,” Khattar said.
It came after Jannayak Janta Party leader Chautala said in an interview to ANI, “I can on record assure you that I will not go with BJP again.”
“I don’t take it as a crisis now. What had happened, happened. I see that as an opportunity now…last time also, our party was a kingmaker…you can see the coming days as well; JJP will be the most important political party of the state (Haryana),” the deputy CM of Haryana said.
Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini also responded to Chautala’s comment about the BJP. “Congress wants to end JJP that’s why I am taking Congress’ name. I would like to tell him (Dushyant Chautala) to be strong. Last time, his party won 10 seats. This time also, they should win several seats,” he said.
Election Commission announced that assembly elections in Haryana will take place on October 1 and the votes would be announced on October 4.
