It has been the epicentre of farmers’ agitation against now repealed three laws. I used to cry over the plight and ignorance of farmers by the government. However, farmers fought well and won the battle. Moreover, farmers always supported me well whenever I was in trouble,” she added.
When asked about her retirement from wrestling, Vinesh Phogat said, “When my mind is clear, I will think about what to do next as I am in a deep shock of the incident that occurred with me recently,” she added.
In a reply to a query in which wrestling federation of India (WFI) president Sanjay Singh stated that Vinesh Phogat should not enter politics, Vinesh Phogat said, “Don’t ask me about controversies. Who is Sanjay Singh? I don’t know him.”
