‘Decided to marry someone else’: Jilted lover barges into girlfriend’s office with gun in Uttar Pradesh | Lucknow News – Times of India

LUCKNOW: A man carrying a revolver barged into his girlfriend’s office in Vibhuti Khand after learning that she was planning to marry another man and threatened to shoot himself, triggering panic in the office.
The security guards in the office tried to pacify him but in vain. The guards then alerted the police who arrived at the spot and overpowered the jilted lover Deepak Yadav.Deepak, who works as a caretaker for former PWD engineer Arjun Singh, had brought his employer’s licensed revolver without permission.
DCP, east zone, Shashank Singh, said, “Deepak was agitated after learning about his girlfriend’s marriage plans. Without informing him, she made the decision to marry someone else, which led him to her office, where he created a scene and threatened to kill himself.”
Deepak was taken into custody and an FIR was registered against him under relevant sections, including those of the Arms Act. The licensed revolver was seized and the police have written to the authorities requesting the cancellation of the arms licence.
