Epstein and Diddy cases not same, says model Lisa Phillips: ‘Sean thought he was God’ – Times of India

As parallels are being drawn between the Diddy case and that of the Epstein, both involving sex trafficking, Lisa Phillips, a model who said Epstein sexually assaulted her on his private island, said there is a very fundamental difference between Epstein and Sean Diddy as Epstein was not an open secret but Sean Diddy’s parties were open. People talked about it but Sean Diddy thought he was God and nothing would happen to him.
“Jeffrey was not an open secret.Jeffrey was all under the table. Only certain people knew about the sex trafficking, He was very smart — he was much smarter than Sean Combs, much more highly intelligent,” Phillips said.
Everyone in the music industry was in the know of the things and there were whispers, Phillips said. “When I was a model in the early 2000s, I knew all about abused women with Sean Combs,” Phillips claimed. “We heard about it, people talked about it… I think he just thought he was God and above all. Nothing was going to happen to him.” She said Epstein and Combs ran in very different circles but their modus operandi was he same.
“When you have that type of wealth, power, charm and influence to make things happen for people… a lot of men don’t abuse it, but predators do… It’s vile.”
“They take these young girls and pretend like, ‘I’m doing good for you.’ But no, they’re sending them to their friends, associates and other powerful people,” she explained. “The victim thinks, ‘Oh wow – I get to meet so-and-so.’ But no, they’re sending you to be abused, for the sexual gratification of another person. They’re being trafficked. They’re putting you on a plane or sending you an Uber – whatever it is – [but] they’re sending you to somebody else.”
Diddy has been accused of sex trafficking and racketeering — charges that he did not plead guilty. He has now hired Sam Bankman-Fried’s lawyer for bail. A pall of silence has descended on Hollywood as celebrities are not commenting on the charges against Diddy. Diddy tapes featuring celebrities are being sold in Hollywood while several heavyweights have been named as close to Diddy. But no celebrity has been implicated in the case so far.
