Multiple reports suggest that Delhi Capitals will not retain and actually release Rishabh Pant ahead of the IPL 2025 auction. If the reports are true then Pant would be in the auction pool and his presence is bound to tempt bidders. TEAMS THAT COULD VYE FOR PANT
CSK: With so much uncertainty around MS Dhoni ‘s availability, the Super Kings could surely look at Pant as an option if he is up for auction. Given his experience of the IPL stage, Pant could be a very good option for the Super Kings. Adding fuel to the rumours, a few months back there were reports claiming that CSK is interested in availing Pant’s services for the upcoming season. But of course, the picture is not clear.
RCB: With no Dinesh Karthik , the Royal Challengers Bengaluru is another team that would be on a lookout for a keeper. And it would not get better if they can lap-up Pant at the auction. Virat Kohli and Pant could team together and form a dream pair at the Royal Challengers. For RCB, they may also go for local lad KL Rahul if he is in the auction pool. But again, RCB is a team that is yet to win an IPL title and hence they may go aggressively for Pant.
