IPL Retentions 2024: Gujarat Titans , the defending champions of 2023 had a pretty dismal outing in 2024. The franchise never looked like the juggernaut that they were aspiring to become after Hardik Pandya left. Pandya’s departure led to Mumbai’s downfall in 2024, but it did not do any good to the Titans either. Under Hardik Pandya’s captaincy, Gujarat played two consecutive IPL Finals (2022 and 2023), but they had a pretty dismal season in IPL 2024.

Can Gujarat Titans Overcome From Disastrous IPL 2024 Season?
With just 12 points from 14 league games, the Titans finished eighth on the IPL Points Table. But, much to their misfortunes, their last two league games were washed out due to rain and this did not do any good to their campaign. Shubman Gill was bestowed with the responsibility of leading the Titans in 2024, but he had to do it without the franchise’s star pacer Mohammad Shami, who missed the tournament die to injury. Gujarat, just like other franchises will eye an IPL Title in 2025 and it will be interesting to see how they strategize for the auction.
