‘It Helps Australian Guys,’: David Warner Expresses Concern for India Facing Australia After NZ Loss

New Zealand defeated India in the third and last Test, therefore completing a commanding 3-0 series success. New Zealand scored 235 and 174 in this game; India scored 263 and 121, therefore establishing a target of 147 runs. Following an exciting session, New Zealand prevailed by 25 runs. While in the first Test, they chased down a target of 107 to win by eight wickets, earlier in the series New Zealand won the second Test by 113 runs, thus defending a total of 359. Over the games, this series highlighted India’s challenges and New Zealand’s strengths.

David Warner made a huge statement about the struggling Indian cricket team ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy

Former Australian opener David Warner thinks the faltering Indian batting squad should be “nervous” about confronting the strong Australian bowling attack after a dismal home series against New Zealand. Starting November 22, India is scheduled to go to Australia for five tests.

Losing their first red-ball series at home since 2012, the Indian squad faced great obstacles against New Zealand. To make matters worse, they lost in the last game at Wankhede Stadium, therefore producing an unprecedented home series whitewash.

Since India dropped from the top position even before their trip to Australia, this 0-3 loss has sparked major questions over India’s prospects of qualifying for the World Test Championship (WTC) Final.

Warner hailed New Zealand for knocking India out for only 46 runs in the first match in Bengaluru, therefore establishing the tone early in the series. On November 4, David Warner remarked on-air during the first ODI between Australia and Pakistan in Melbourne via Fox Sports. Warner said (quoted by Sportskeeda),

In every category across the three-Test series, New Zealand well exceeded India. Key players with the bat were Will Young and Rachin Ravindra; with the ball, Ajaz Patel and Mitchell Santner were outstanding. The remainder of the squad also performed vital supporting roles throughout their winning campaign. Rohit Sharma and co. will need to make sure such disaster does not repeat in the much awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy this month in Australia.
