Watch: Congress posts video mocking PM Modi over water leakage in new Parliament | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Congress on Friday mocked Prime Minister Narendra Modi after water leaked in the new Parliament following heavy rains that lashed parts of Delhi on Wednesday.
The grand old party posted an animated video of PM Modi on X with the caption — “When the Parliament building was being constructed, the drone was out of order. It is not Narendra Modi’s fault.”
The video has PM Modi’s voiceover saying — “It’s not necessary that I inform them in advance that I am coming there for inspection.Otherwise, they will make sure everything is in order. But if I send a drone, it brings the information and they don’t even realise that I have inspected the site.”

This came after Congress leader Manickam Tagore took a jibe on the central government saying, “Paper leakage outside, water leakage inside. The recent water leakage in the Parliament lobby used by the President highlights urgent weather resilience issues in the new building, just a year after completion.”
The Lok Sabha secretariat on Thursday addressed concerns about the new Parliament building’s weather resilience, explaining that the water leakage in the building’s lobby was caused by minor displacement of an adhesive material used to secure the glass domes above.
