'Andrew Witty to be next': Open threat to another CEO on social media after he says...
Andrew Witty is next, social media users commented openly threatening after his speech to staff went viral.

After the brazen killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson which was celebrated on social media, in a sinister trend some users called for the killing of Andrew Witty next after his internal speech to his company staff got leaked and went viral. Andrew Witty is the CEO of the main company UnitedHealth Group who addressed his staff after the murder of Brian Thompson and also reacted to the media’s interest in the murder.
It was during his speech to the staff that Witty said that the company would continue to prevent “unnecessary care” which means dubious health insurance claims. And that drew flak from social media users who were celebrating the murder of Brian Thompson because of his company’s high rate of payout denial. They said Witty should be killed next.
“Our role is a critical role, and we make sure that care is safe, appropriate, and is delivered when people need it,” Witty said in a video message to employees that was leaked to journalist Ken Klipperstein. “We guard against the pressures that exist for unsafe care or for unnecessary care to be delivered in a way which makes the whole system too complex and ultimately unsustainable,” he added.

One user said he’s glad that the killer is still on the loose and not caught. “Sir Andrew Witty needs to be killed next,” one user said. “you just made the list,” another wrote.
In his speech, Andrew Witty asked his staff to not speak to the media about the company as there’s a lot of interest about the health insurance company now as the murder was presumably triggered by a personal vendetta.
“I’d like to give you a little bit of advice around the media,” Witty said. “My strong advice and request to everybody is just don’t engage with the media. If you’re approached, I would recommend not responding and, if necessary, simply refer them to our own media organization.”
