“As a teenager, however, when at Marlborough College she discovered a lump on the left side of her head, just under her hairline,” the biography said as reported by Independent.
“The school notified her parents immediately and her mother Carole took her to hospital, where she had surgery to remove it,” it added.
The Palace had released a statement referring to the surgery saying that the “scar is related to a childhood operation.” It came after the scar was noticed in 2001.
The biography titled – ‘Catherine, The Princess of Wales’- is written by Rob Jobson. It further said, “Apart from debilitating bouts of morning sickness and, of course, stays in the Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital to deliver her babies, Catherine has fortunately avoided hospital for most of her life.”
Earlier this year, the Princess of Wales shared a video revealing that she had been diagnosed with cancer.
Talking about the chemotherapy treatment, Middleton had said, “It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family, but I’ve had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me, for which I am so grateful.”
