ATM cash deposit limits: With the introduction of modern banking technologies, customers now have the convenience of depositing cash directly into their accounts using designated ATMs, without the need to visit a bank branch.
The Automated Deposit cum Withdrawal Machine (ADWM) is a specialized ATM that allows customers to deposit cash into their accounts using their ATM or debit card.
The cash deposit limits for these machines vary depending on the bank and whether the customer’s Permanent Account Number (PAN) is registered with the bank.
As reported by ET, according to the SBI website, “The Cash Deposit Machine, better known as Automated Deposit cum Withdrawal Machine (ADWM) is an ATM like machine that allows you to deposit cash directly into your account using the ATM cum debit card. You can use this machine to instantly credit your account without visiting the branch. The transaction receipt also gives you your updated account balance.”

ATM Cash Deposit Limit for SBI:

As of September 24, 2024, the per transaction limit for SBI’s cardless deposit is Rs. 49,900/-, while the limit for deposits made using a debit card is Rs. 2.00 lakh, provided the account is seeded with a PAN number.
Customers can also use the ADWM to deposit cash into their PPF, RD, and loan accounts. A single transaction can accommodate up to 200 currency notes, and the ADWM accepts denominations of Rs 100, Rs 200, Rs 500.

ATM Cash Deposit Limit for HDFC Bank:

HDFC Bank has set specific limits for cash deposits through their ATMs. For savings accounts, the maximum amount that can be deposited per transaction is Rs 25,000, while for Card Based Deposits, the limit is Rs 1 lakh. There is a daily limit of Rs 2 lakh.
The cash deposit machines at HDFC Bank are designed to accept denominations of Rs 100 (both new and old notes), Rs 200, Rs 500, and Rs 2000. It is important to note that a maximum of 200 notes can be deposited in a single transaction. These cash deposit machines are exclusively available for depositing money into HDFC Bank accounts.

ATM Cash Deposit Limit for Union Bank of India:

Union Bank of India also offers cash deposit services through their Cash Recycler Machines (CRMs). According to the Union Bank website, “Cash Recycler Machine is capable of accepting and dispensing multiple notes simultaneously. CRMs accept a maximum 200 currency notes of Rs. 50,100, 500 and 2000 denominations per transaction and maximum value of Rs. 49999. On PAN card validation additional amount up to Rs.100000/- can be deposited per transaction. CRM impounds any counterfeit currency and such notes are not returned to the depositor. Cash deposit and withdrawal is allowed to NFS member bank cardholders by CRM. Cash withdrawal feature is similar to ATM in CRMs.”
These CRMs provide a convenient way for customers to deposit and withdraw cash, with specific limits and security measures in place to ensure the integrity of the transactions.

ATM Cash Deposit Limit for Bank of Baroda:

Customers with a registered PAN can deposit up to Rs 2,00,000/- (2 lakh) per day using their debit card. For those without a registered PAN, the daily limit is Rs 49,999/-. Card-less transactions, which require feeding the account number, have a daily limit of Rs 20,000/-.

ATM Cash Deposit Limit for PNB:

“PNB Cash Acceptor cum ATM or Bulk Note Acceptor is a highly efficient multi-function kiosk, meant for accepting cash for deposit in the account (for PNB only) as well as dispensation of cash and all other ATM functions.”
The machine accepts denominations of 500, 200, and 100. Customers with a captured PAN number in their account can deposit a maximum of Rs. 1,00,000/- or a total of 200 notes per transaction. For those without a captured PAN number, the limit is Rs. 49,900/-.
