CHENNAI: The sleuths from the cybercrime wing of Chennai police on Tuesday arrested YouTuber Abhishek Rabi, 29, for uploading a controversial video about women and Semmozhi Poonga recently.

According to the south zone cybercrime police station, a woman who went for a walk at Semmozhi Poonga lodged a complaint stating that Rabi recorded a video insulting the park and women.He uploaded the video to his YouTube channel, ‘Briyani Man’.
Following this, the cybercrime wing police registered a case against him under sections of the BNS Act, the IT Act, the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act and the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Women Harassment Act, 1998. The cybercrime wing arrested Rabi from his house.
The cybercrime wing police produced Rabi before a magistrate court on Tuesday, and he was remanded in judicial custody.
