Bus changing lanes overturns, 7 killed in Jharkhand | India News – Times of India

Seven passengers were killed and 12 others injured after a private bus from Kolkata to Patna met with an accident in Jharkhand’s Hazaribag on Thursday morning. Police said, the bus overturned while trying to change lanes, reports Abhijit Sen. Five people, including three women, died on the spot, said SDPO Ajit Kumar Bimal. Fourteen injured were taken to hospital, where two critically injured succumbed. The rest are undergoing treatment, he said. Three of the deceased were identified as Rajkumari Prasad (55) and Niti Samanta (25), and Ejaz Ahmed (40). Four bodies are unidentified, cops said.
