Charles Leclerc has won the Italian Grand Prix as he brings home a Ferrari victory at Monza. The expectations were of a victory going the way of the Mclaren drivers such as Lando Norris or Oscar Piastri but this was not the case as Leclerc picked up the win with a significant margin on the orange team. There were also questions asked whether Piastri should have overtaken Lando Norris at the start of the race as Norris is currently in the hunt for a World Championship and looks to dethrone Max Verstappen.
This was Leclerc’s second win on the iconic track.
Leclerc Nurses Tires To Victory
During the last few laps of the race, Charles Leclerc seemed to struggle with his tires as there was high degradation on the Autodromo Internazionale Monza. During the final few laps as Lando Norris chased after Leclerc, Leclerc nursed his tires as he crossed the finish line at the Italian Grand Prix 2024.
