CNN's Scott Jennings mocks Vivek Ramaswamy for 'prom queen' dig: 'Someone got stuffed in a locker'
CNN’s Scott Jennings commented on Vivek Ramaswamy’s rant against American culture.

CCN’s Scott Jennings made fun of Vivek Ramaswamy‘s rant against the American culture over the H-1B row and without naming the DOGE co-chief, Jennings said someone got stuffed in a locker. “I’m not going to say who. Look, I think there’s a way to talk about this that doesn’t denigrate all of American culture,” Jennings said without covering his feelings of hurt caused by Ramaswamy’s strong words against America’s prom queen culture.

“I’m now understanding more and more how he got 100 votes in Iowa or whatever it was he got during the Iowa caucus,” Jennings said taking another dig at Ramaswamy who had challenged Donald Trump in the Republican primaries but got a very poor electoral support in Iowa which prompted him to end his campaign following which he endorsed Trump. After Trump’s win in the election, Trump made Vivek Ramaswamy the co-chief of the Department of Government Efficiency along with Elon Musk.

What did Vivek Ramaswamy say against American culture?

The row goes back to Sriram Krishnan’s advocacy for removing the visa cam for countries. Sriram Krishnan will work for artificial intelligence at the White House but the Indian-American’s lobbying for more Indians in America by removing the cap on H-1B visas ruffled many feathers of Make America Great Again activists. But Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy supported Sriram Krishnan’s idea.
It is in this context that Vivek Ramaswamy made a long rant about why India has the best engineers and the US does not. Born to Indian parents, Ramaswamy said American culture venerated mediocrity over excellence. “A culture that celebrates the prom queen over the math olympiad champ, or the jock over the valediction, will not produce the best engineers,” Ramaswamy wrote and advocated for a stricter culture which should involve more good shows, books and less “chilling”, less TV and less “hanging out at the mall”.
