It is expected to be a thrill of a final as the match-up looks extremely promising. So much so that the fans have absolutely thronged the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida. Fans want to witness Lionel Messi and the Argentine side as well as the Colombians, and they have crushed havoc in the gates of the venue, leading to a massive delay in the kick-off of the game.

Copa America Final Delayed over fans’ ruckus outside Hard Rock Stadium
The football fans of Colombia and Argentina in the United States were left disappointed when the gates for the Hard Rock Stadium did not open in time. An unusual situation arose when thousands of fans came rushing into the gates, leading to a massive ruckus. The Miami-Dade Police Department as well as the stadium security have been attempting to get control of the situation, but the fans — both with and without tickets — are trying to barge in. The ticket holders have been left upset with the situation. The CONMEBOL announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the kick-off to the final has been delayed.
“We would like to inform you that individuals without tickets will not be allowed entry into the stadium. Only those with purchased tickets will be permitted entry once access is reopened. We also inform you that the match will be delayed by 30 minutes, starting at 8:30 PM,” the statement read.

The Miami-Dade Police Department also put up a statement over the fans’ extensive gathering at Miami Gardens to watch the Copa America final.
“We’ve had several incidents prior to the gates opening at Hard Rock Stadium for the Copa America final game. These incidents have been a result of the unruly behaviour of fans trying to access the stadium. We are asking everyone to be patient, and abide by the rules set by our officers and Hard Rock Stadium personnel.
“We are actively working with Hard Rock Stadium to ensure a safe environment for all those attending. Unruly behaviour will get you ejected and/or arrested. We have zero tolerance behaviour against unruly conduct from everyone attending,” the statement said.
After the initial 30-minute delay, the kick-off suffered another 45-minute delay in order to control the riotous situation. A 75-minute delay was eventually added, with the fans standing for over an hour to enter the Stadium.
