And on Wednesday, Jaffer came up with another teaser for Vaughan after the latter suggested 2 divisions in Test cricket.
With declining popularity of the longest format and a wide divide in spread of money across cricket boards, Vaughan on Tuesday had said that the Test format needs to have two tiers of 6 teams each.

Replying to Vaughan’s suggestion, Jaffer shared a screenshot of the England team lingering at the bottom of the World Test Championship table a month back.
Jaffer cheekily pointed out the timing of Vaughan’s tweet as England recently climbed to the fifth spot on the WTC table after securing an unassailable 2-0 lead in 3-Test series over Sri Lanka.
After hammering the Lankans in the first Test by 5 wickets in Manchester, England won the Lord’s Test by 190 runs to clinch the series.
The third England-Sri Lanka Test will be played at the Kennington Oval from September 6.
