Diljit Dosanjh Dil-Luminati Tour: Here’s ticket scam warning with screenshots and phone number – Times of India

Delhi Police recently asked Diljit Dosanjh fans to be cautious while buying tickets online for the upcoming Diljit Dosanjh Dil-Luminati Tour 2024. With excitement building, authorities warned that scammers may try to take advantage of the high demand by offering fake or fraudulent tickets. In one such incident, a Delhi woman claimed to have lost Rs 15,000 in an online ticket scam related to Diljit Dosanjh’s ‘Dil-Luminati Tour’.In a social media post titled “Fraud alert on X:, Mahima Jalan shared how she and her friend lost Rs 21,000 to a man claiming to sell the concert tickets. She wrote that the man– an account named Crigyan07 on social media platform X (earlier Twitter) – gained her trust as he shared his Aadhaar card as identity proof. She shared screenshots of her conversation with him as well as photo of the Aadhaar card he shared in her post. The social media account now appears to be blocked, likely the result of her tagging Delhi Police and Cyber Dost in the post. We at TOI Tech-Gadgets Now couldn’t find the account on X. What the lady wrote in her Twitter post

In her X post, the victim, Mahima Jalan who is a resident of Delhi, shared screenshots of the phone number and Aadhar card provided by the scammer as well as the fake ticket.
She wrote: “Fraud alert on X: This account Dharmendra Singh (Crigyan07) has scammed me and few more on X by selling fake tickets of Diljit Dosanjh’s show. He took 15k from me, 6k from my friend and god knows how much money from others. And the worst part, he is still scamming people. I’ve tried texting him from other number. I’ve filed a complaint with Online Cyber cell. @Cyberdost @DelhiPolice please take immediate action so that he can stop this scam. And to my X community, kindly spam him with calls/msgs. Kya pata darr ke ya sharam khaa kr paise vapas krde! His number: 9229817949
P.S: I know it was foolish of me (and others) to trust him. He sent relevant screenshots including his ID proof to make it look real.”

Warning for netizens

The post has already received more than 24,000 views and hundreds of comments. One user said: “This same screenshot is circulating on the internet, and many scammers are trying to make money off of it! Never buy tickets like this! Even if he had shared it with you, he could have sold the same tickets to multiple people!”

Meanwhile, another user pointed out: “What is disheartening is that educated people fall for things like this. How can someone who sends these kinds of messages be a trusted source?”
