According to officials, the mall received the threat via email at around 11:59 a.m., which read: “Hello there, I planted bombs in the building. Every person inside the building will be killed.”
The mall was immediately evacuated, and the Bomb Detection Squad, along with sniffer dogs, ATS officials, and Fire Brigade personnel, was deployed.
“The search was called off at around 2:50 p.m., and the mall was reopened to the public at around 3 p.m.,” an official said.
Police are investigating the source of the email and trying to identify its sender.
