Plans are afoot and the NBA could soon see a historic moment on its courts, with LeBron James and his son Bronny playing for the Los Angeles Lakers.
“We obviously have talked about it as a staff, and we’ve gotten into some specifics of what that might look like, but we haven’t committed to anything,” the new Lakers’ coach, JJ Redick, told reporters recently.
“And obviously there’s a discussion to be had once we’re all together with Bronny and LeBron, too. They should be a part of that discussion as well.”
There is also a possibility to see Bronny honing his skills in the developmental G League, while the 39-year-old LeBron enters his 22nd NBA season having led the USA team to Paris Olympics gold medal last month.
“Bronny got switched onto LeBron and he took him baseline and up and under off the glass… The words exchanged afterwards were probably more challenging than anything else.”
Rob Pelinka said LeBron James was trash talking Bronny 🤣

Redick was mindful of the fact that James’s workload needs to be managed better as he approaches 40.
“I think everyone in this building is cognizant of the fact that he’s almost 40. But when we’ve watched the pickup games, he’s going full tilt. He’s on the court, he’s going,” said the coach.
The Lakers had fired coach Darvin Ham and replaced him with Redick.
