Prithvi Shaw ‘s case has been nothing short of an example that sports doesn’t build character, but reveals it. Once touted as the next Sachin Tendulkar, Prithvi Shaw’s cricket career seems to be in troubled waters. Struggling to find his place in the Indian senior team, Shaw has now been axed from Mumbai’s Ranji Trophy squad also. The reason behind this is being seen as his fitness and disciplinary issues. Prithvi’s struggles not only stop at India and Ranji Trophy, but he was also visibly left out of Delhi Capital’s playing XI in the seventeenth edition of the IPL .

Doping Violation, June 2020: Fresh out of his U-19 World Cup victory in New Zealand, Shaw was being considered as the next big thing in Indian Cricket. Shaw debuted in the India whites on October 4, 2018 and scored a century on his debut. The opener became the youngest Indian to score a Test century, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar’s record. But things started to get worse for the Mumbai lad.

Shaw had gone out to have dinner with his friends and it apparently ended in a nightmare. The Indian cricketer was chased by few people for selfies and it later resulted in him being heckled and his car being smashed.

Just ahead of the IPL mega auctions, Shaw has been axed from the Mumbai Ranji Trophy squad also taking into considerations his fitness and disciplinary issues. It is being said that Shaw was irregular to his practice sessions and hence, he has been left out.
