‘He Has A Technique’: Team India Star Predicts Sarfaraz Khan’s Big Breakthrough On Day 4 Against NZ

Team India looked in dire trouble when they chose to bat against New Zealand in the first Test match. But the Men in Blue are now retaliating firmly as they bat in their second innings in Bengaluru. Ahead of the day four play, a team India player predicts batter Sarfaraz Khan to perform well on Saturday’s fourth playday.

Team India Star Predicts Sarfaraz Khan To Be Dominant Against NZ in Day 4

At the post-day press meeting, India’s Kuldeep Yadav backed up Sarfaraz Khan to go big on day four play on Saturday at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

“We all saw how he scored 200 during the Irani Trophy. We’re hoping that he slams another here. Since he is playing for India, his technique does not matter as long as the runs keep coming. However, he has a good technique against the spinners and doesn’t let them settle down.

“I always feel that if a batter does not allow a spinner to settle down, he is a true batter. The way he was counter-attacking the left-arm spinners forced them (NZ) to bring in the pacers,” Kuldeep said after the Day 3 play in Bengaluru.

Team India ended the third day of the first Test at 231 for three and is now trailing by 125 runs. A lot of the credit for the Men in Blue’s stability while batting was due to the partnership of Virat Kohli and Sarfaraz Khan. Both of them stitched a critical partnership and scored their respective half-centuries during India’s innings. Virat went on to secure a historic milestone as he raked up 9000 Test runs.

In the first Test match against New Zealand, captain Rohit Sharma made the terrible decision to bat first. India was bowled out for 46 in 32 overs, their lowest total in 593 Test matches and their lowest total in 293 home matches. However, as they batted on Day 3, India fiercely retaliated against the Kiwis. Even though they are still behind by 125 runs, some of the team’s best hitters are still on the pitch and could score a lot of runs on Day 4.
