Windsor EV: Subscription explained
For the Windsor EV, the ex-showroom price has been set at Rs 9.99 lakh. Well, there’s a catch here that this price is exclusive of the battery costs. In simpler words, take BaaS as Netflix for batteries. You don’t own the content (battery), but you pay for access and use it as long as you subscribe.

With BaaS, Windsor EV owners pay a monthly fee starting at Rs 5,250 for 1,500 km, with an extra Rs 3.50 per km for additional distance. However, BaaS is optional. You can still buy the Windsor EV with the battery included, prices of which will be announced soon. The battery also comes with a lifetime warranty for the first owner, while second owners get an 8-year/1.6 lakh km warranty. Besides that, the customers who purchase this EV before 31st December will also get 1-year of free charging at MG’s public chargers.
Windsor EV: How will the company track kms travelled
MG has partnered with finance providers like Bajaj Finance and Hero FinCorp for the BAAS program, offering EMI plans with varying terms and interest rates. Telematics installed in the car will track real-time usage for accurate billing.
