NEW DELHI: The Indian Air Force is cooperating with local police in Budgam, Jammu and Kashmir, to investigate a sexual assault complaint lodged by a woman flying officer against a Wing Commander, according to an IAF official quoted by news agency PTI.
It has been reported that the local police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) following the complaint by the IAF officer against the senior Wing commander.
Both the woman officer and the Wing Commander are presently based out of Srinagar.
“We are aware of the case. The Air Force Station in Srinagar was approached by the local Budgam police station on the subject. We are fully cooperating towards this case,” the senior IAF official was quoted as saying.
