Aaron Ramsdale was asked in the commentary box whether he played club cricket. Aaron Ramsdale confirmed that when he was younger he used to quite a lot of cricket and had a chance to play club cricket for Staffordshire, instead he opted for Football.

“When I was younger I played quite a bit, there was a chance for me to play for Staffordshire but Football took over. I’d like to say when I played I was more of a Ben Stokes”, said Ramsdale confidently.

Aaron Ramsdale was definitely joking when he compared his cricketing skills to that of Ben Stokes and soon backtracked on his statement.

“But I am not going to put that to myself, just come in and smack it and bowl a few overs,” said Aaron Ramsdale on his similarities with Ben Stokes.

Aaron Ramsdale reveals best cricketers in England Football Team

Aaron Ramsdale was a part of England’s Euro 2024 squad that lost to Spain in the finals. When asked about who are the best cricketers in football team he was quick to name captain Harry Kane, himself but before that he took a dig at Declan Rice.

“Definitely not Declan Rice, it’s not just that he’s getting wickets, he said next to bowl, Jos Buttler. To confirm he’s a wicketkeeper. Harry Kane’s an average sportsman, good golfer, good cricketer. I’d like to back myself you know,” said Aaron Ramsdale.

Aaron Ramsdale will soon join the Arsenal camp after his Euro 2024 campaign as they prepare for the pre season ahead of another shot at Premier League title.
