IndiGo technical glitch: Chaos at Bengaluru airport, internet says “purgatory”

IndiGo on Saturday (October 5) faced a technical glitch with its system slowing down temporary across its network. This disrupted flight operations and ground services of the domestic carrier. After hours of glitch, the low-cost carrier said that services have resumed.
“Our systems are back to normal and are running smoothly. We deeply regret the inconvenience our customers had to face and really appreciate their patience and understanding, which played a key role in helping our teams deliver safe and efficient services during this time. Our frontline teams managed this technical issue with our digital systems, which presented an extraordinary challenge for our ground services team,” it said.
“We are proud of them for their collaboration as they efficiently processed manual boarding passes and assisted in boarding thousands of customers, ensuring service continuity with minimal disruption,” the airlines added.
However, the temporary glitch sparked furious reaction from affected passengers.

Flyers react on Indigo’s temporary glitch

Booked a last-minute flight coz I desperately needed to get home ASAP—only for the servers to crash and the flight to get delayed. So now, instead of zooming through the skies, I’m stuck in an airport purgatory where the only thing flying is my patience… out the window.#indigo

#Indigo airlines computer systems have crashed and they have a massive backup at airports. I am in Kolkata taking off. Is anyplace else is India having a similar issue

Very bad and laid back service of Indigo Shirdi Airport.

Technical Glitch at @IndiGo6E
Airport looks like Railway Station

@IndiGo6E your services are down. I’m not able to book any Indigo flight on any platform including your own!

@IndiGo6E it’s good to invest in new aircrafts but how about improving the ground services! This is the scene at indigo counters at Bangalore T1 for last one hour. Additional counters are required, disturbing to see old people suffering. @DGCAIndia please notice
