As the last date for the IPL franchises to notify BCCI about its retained players is closing in, there is excitement and buzz surrounding the teams as the list of retained players from each side is expected to come out soon. SRH’s Likely Retentions
According to a report by ESPNcricinfo, SRH will likely retain the star performers from their successful IPL 2024 campaign. Pat Cummins, who marshalled the Orange Army in the 2024 season will captain the side in the 2025 edition as well. Hence, Cummins will be retained. Moreover, Heinrich Klassen, who scored the most runs for the franchise and became an architect for the side advancing to the final, will likely be the top pick. Should he become the No.1 retained player then he will reap a ginormous INR 23 crore sum. Furthermore, one of the biggest revelations of IPL 2024, Abhishek Sharma is also set to be retained by Sunrisers Hyderabad . Sharma might draw INR 14 crores upon retention.
Aside from the aforementioned names, SRH would add Travis Head and Nitish Kumar Reddy among the retained names.
