NEW DELHI: Samajwadi Party‘s chief Akhilesh Yadav defended Suresh Yadav‘s reported remark ‘BJP is a Hindu terrorist organisation’ and said that a party that spreads hatred, conducts fake encounters, and does not work according to the law what other word for them that can be used.
While reacting to Suresh Yadav’s reported remark, the SP chief said, “The people who spread hatred, conduct fake encounters and does not work according to the law…Tell me if there is any other word for them that can be used.”
There are videos claiming that Suresh Yadav, while protesting in UP’s Barabanki, reportedly labelled the BJP a “Hindu terrorist organisation.”
His remarks came during a protest against the ruling party for Union home minister Amit Shah’s comments on B.R. Ambedkar in the Lok Sabha, according to media reports.
It all started when Shah made a comment, referring to Ambedkar during a debate on the Constitution in the Rajya Sabha.
Shah had said, “Abhi ek fashion ho gaya hai – Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar. Itna naam agar Bhagwan ka lete to saat janmon tak swarg mil jata” (It has become a fashion to say Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar. If they had taken God’s name so many times, they would have attained heaven for seven lifetimes).
After this, the opposition slammed Shah and also launched nationwode protest claiming that the Union minister had “insulted” BR Ambedkar. Although, the next day, the BJP leader held a press conference and accused the Congress of twisting facts and distorting his comments but still the protest is still going on across India.
