In his tweet, which translates to English, he wrote, “I am deeply moved by the recent floods in two Telugu states due to heavy rains. I pray to God that the Telugu people recover from this calamity soon. On my part, I am announcing a donation of 50 lakhs each to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Governments to help the measures taken by the governments of the two Telugu states for relief from the flood disaster.”
Jr. NTR is not alone in his efforts. Actor Vishwak Sen also extended his support by donating Rs 10 lakhs, divided between the Chief Minister’s Relief Funds of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. On social media, he wrote, “In these devastating times of calamity, I am pledging a donation of ₹5 lakhs to the Telangana CM Relief Fund to support the flood relief efforts in the state. This contribution is a small step towards alleviating the suffering of those affected by the floods.”
The film industry has shown a strong sense of humanity in the wake of these floods. Earlier, the makers of ‘Kalki 2898 AD‘ also contributed Rs 25 lakhs to aid in the relief efforts.
Last seen in Jr. NTR is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated film, ‘Devara: Part 1’, set to hit theaters on September 27th. The film marks the Tollywood debut of Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, who plays the main antagonist.
