This did not come to be so and Lawson stayed as a reserve driver but Red Bull could end up losing him as a clause in his contract states that Red Bull must put him in a racing seat by 2025 or he is free to explore other options.

Helmut Marko Confirms Lawson Seat

In an interview with an Austrian newspaper, Helmut Marko revealed that there will be a decision regarding Liam Lawson by September. There is also the case of Sergio Perez who could be released due to the disappointing season he is having. The same also goes for Daniel Ricciardo in RB as he is also under fire for his bad performances.

Daniel Ricciardo’s Opinion On Helmut’s Comments

Daniel Ricciardo while talking about Helmut Marko’s comments regarding Liam Lawson definitely driving for a Red Bull team next season said, “I still know that performance is, my best friend.

“And that’s if I do what I know I can do and [am] capable of then it puts me in a very good position to obviously stay somewhere in the family for next year. I’ve just got to focus on that.

“Speaking on Liam – got to see him drive the car last year [after Ricciard’s injury at Zandvoort 2023] and I do think he did a great job.

“I do think he is worthy of a seat on the grid. In a way, I’m happy for him.

“Like, if he is guaranteed a seat next year, then I think that’s good, because he is a deserving driver.

“So, then what that means for me? As I said, probably a little bit unknown, but if I perform then I’m sure they’ll find a spot for me somewhere.”

The rumors of Daniel Ricciardo being removed from his RB seat are going around after the Australian driver has had several disappointing seasons ever since he left Red Bull racing a few years back.
