A viral video of flashing streetlights outside a Walmart in Newburgh, New York, has ignited speculation about alien activity and possible “infrastructure testing for some upcoming event.” The video, posted on X has garnered millions of views and sparked widespread discussion.
X user WallStreetApes shared a video clip that shows street lights flashing near Newburgh, New York Walmart store. The user claimed that similar incidents have been reported across the US, including at an airport in North Carolina.
“Newburgh, New York Walmart has all their lights flashing. This has been happening all over the country, it also just happened at Asheville, North Carolina airport,” the user said in the post.
The user even questioned whether these events are connected to recent drone sightings and suggested the possibility of extraterrestrial involvement.
“Is this due to the ‘Drones/ Orbs?’ Are they testing our infrastructure for some upcoming event? The lights do not always flash. I go to Walmart all the time and they never flash like this,” he added.
“Aliens”, “electrical issue” and more: How the internet reacted
A bunch of people also posted clips from other places, showing similar flickering of lights.
“Flickering lights are happening at Asheville, North Carolina airport too,” WallStreetApes said in another video.
LED Lights flicker when there are issues with them. The rapid on/off flickering is a result of a Light Emitting Diode’s ability to change from dark to bright instantly when power is added/removed
Same reason stadiums are able to strobe after home team scores, its the same effect w/ issues
Nope. All the lights in video would flash if it was a “drone” issue. It is an electrical issue isolated to Walmart only.
Honestly, can probably be done with a @flipper_zero. If “they” wanted to get rid of us or anything else…. they would just do it. Not fly drones over NJ or turn on Walmart lights.
This incident comes amidst a wave of drone sightings over New Jersey and other parts of the eastern US, which are currently under investigation by the FBI, Department of Homeland Security, FAA, and Department of Defense. While authorities have deemed most sightings to be legal drones, other aircraft, or even stars, public concern remains high.
