Madhya Pradesh horror: Woman accuses man of molestation, his son sets her ablaze | Indore News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: A 19-year-old woman died after being set on fire by the son of a man she had accused of molestation, police officials said on Friday.
The incident occurred on October 12.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Manoj Kumar Rai reported that the woman succumbed to her injuries at Government Maharaja Yeshwantrao Hospital in Indore on Thursday night.
The accused, Arjun Balai, aged 22, allegedly attacked the woman with petrol to force her to withdraw her complaint against his father, Mangilal Balai, who was arrested for molestation on October 7 and granted bail on October 8.
“Arjun was pressuring her to withdraw the complaint which had led to the registration of a molestation case against his father,” SP Rai stated.
Arjun Balai was arrested for attempted murder immediately after the attack and was placed in judicial custody.
Following the woman’s death, police will now add murder charges to the FIR against him.
