Man, 25, rapes 75-year-old grandmother in UP’s Shahjahanpur | Bareilly News – Times of India

BAREILLY: A 25-year old man allegedly raped his 75-year-old maternal grandmother in a village in the Khutar area of Shahjahanpur district, police said on Friday.
Police said the incident took place on Thursday night. According to the officials, the elderly woman was sleeping at home when her grandson came home in an inebriated state and forced himself on her.
The accused also allegedly threatened to kill her if she informed anyone about the incident and left the house.
The survivor informed her daughter about the incident and filed a complaint at the nearby police station.
SP (Rural) Manoj Kumar Awasthi said, “The woman was sent to a hospital for medical examination. We have registered an FIR under the sections of rape against the accused. He is at large and efforts on to nab him.”
