Muda case: Plea filed against Siddaramaiah's wife, Congress neta
Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah

BENGALURU: Snehamayi Krishna, one of three petitioners seeking to prosecute Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah in the Mysore Urban Development Authority (Muda) land allotment case, filed on Wednesday a petition at Laxmipuram police station in Mysuru accusing the CM’s wife, BM Parvathi, and the CM’s associate, M Lakshmana, a Congress spokesperson, of “fabricating” a crucial document pertaining to the case. However, police are yet to register an FIR.
The petition came a day ahead of the Karnataka high court hearing on Siddaramaiah’s writ petition challenging the legality of governor Thaawar Chand Gehlot’s decision to allow him to be prosecuted.
In his petition, Krishna said: “To conceal the fact that the CM’s wife wrote to Muda demanding allotment of land in upscale Vijayanagar Layout, and to create an impression that she had requested allotment in Devanuru Third Stage or another area, a document was fabricated after the original was destroyed.”
He alleged that Parvathi and Lakshmana conspired to create the new document. “The application submitted by Parvathi on June 23, 2014, demanding land allotment was destroyed, and a new one was recently included in the Muda file. Following this, a video was shot and circulated,” Krishna said.
Siddaramaiah had shared a video on X on Monday, saying, “This video clearly shows what is written under the white ink. Remove the lens of hatred and look at it with clear eyes. My wife requested alternative land in the layout developed by Muda in Devanur Third Stage or another parallel layout.”
