In the post-match conference, Rohit Sharma acknowledged the team’s disappointing performance but urged against overreacting. Instead, he stressed the importance of having “quite chats” to identify areas for improvement. Sharma expressed his commitment to supporting players who will be making their debut in Australia, ensuring they feel welcomed and confident.

“I am not going to overreact. You need to have quite chat about what they need to do. I am going to support the players who are going to play in Australia for the first time. Keep it calm and make them feel they belong here,” Rohit Sharma said at the post-match conference on Saturday.

“For good 12 years, we had that great run, which meant we were doing many good things. Just because we have lost this series, I don’t think there is anything that we need to do differently or talk differently but yeah, we need to find ways to come out of those situations where we were put under pressure. I don’t need to open a medical kit and start doing different things. It is important to understand that this team has done pretty good things in the past,” Rohit added.
