NEW DELHI: Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf delivered a sensational performance on Saturday (November 16), claiming a four-wicket haul against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
His fiery spell not only helped restrict the hosts to 147-9 but also saw him become the joint-highest wicket-taker for Pakistan in T20Is, equalling Shadab Khan’s record of 107 wickets.
Rauf’s scintillating figures of 4-22 displayed his ability to strike at crucial moments.
After Australia’s explosive start — rocketing to 52-0 in just 3.4 overs — Rauf turned the tide by dismissing Jake Fraser-McGurk (20) and Josh Inglis (0) in the same over.
This sparked a collapse, with Australia losing three wickets for just four runs.

Rauf later dismissed big-hitter Tim David (18) and cleaned up Xavier Bartlett (5) to cap off a memorable spell.
Abbas Afridi also impressed with 3-17, while wrist-spinner Sufiyan Muqeem’s clever bowling accounted for dangerman Glenn Maxwell (21).

With his latest feat, Rauf has joined an elite group of bowlers who have donned the green shirt in T20Is. He now shares the top spot on Pakistan’s all-time T20I wicket-takers list with Shadab Khan.
