No track caving in MP, minor settlement: Railways – Times of India

BHOPAL: Railways has refuted media reports of a track caving incident between Hetampur and Dholpur railway stations in Madhya Pradesh’s Morena district on Saturday.
In a letter to TOI, the chief PRO of North Central Railways clarified that there was no track caving at the specified location (1280/13-17) or within the two stations, and that recent heavy rainfall led to “minor track settlement” at 1280/15-17, resulting in a temporary speed restriction of 20 kmph on Sept 12, 2024.
A precautionary speed limit of 45 kmph was in place from Sept 8, 2024, due to connection of a newly commissioned third line with the existing up line, it said. The track has been repaired and the speed limit has been restored to 45 kmph.
