AGRA: Three youths abducted a 13-year-old Dalit girl after offering her water laced with some intoxicating substance and took turns to rape her inside a moving van while she was in a semi-conscious state in Mathura on Thursday afternoon.
They then dumped the gang-rape survivor under a flyover and fled. When the girl regained consciousness, she reached home and told her parents about her ordeal and complained of severe stomach pain.
The family got her admitted to a private hospital, where doctors confirmed that she had been raped, following which her father approached police.
The girl said that she had gone to a grocery shop when a local youth offered her a bottle of water.

Soon after drinking it, she started feeling dizzy. Two more youths came and the three forced her into a van and sped away towards a deserted stretch.

SP (rural) Trigun Bisen said medical examination of the girl was conducted at a government hospital on Friday, and that her statement would be recorded before a magistrate on Saturday.
“On basis of the complaint by the girl’s father, an FIR was registered under BNS section 138 (abduction), 376DA (gang rape where the victim is under 16 years old) and sections of Pocso Act. Efforts are on to arrest the three accused,” said SP Bisen.
(The victim’s identity has not been revealed to protect her privacy as per Supreme Court directives on cases related to sexual assault)
