PAK vs ENG 2nd Test: Joe Root Finds Never Seen And Unique Way To Shine The Ball In Multan

PAK vs ENG 2nd Test: Ben Stokes England are taking on Pakistan in the second Test match of the series. The first Test match of the series was also played in Multan and England defeated Shan Masood’s Pakistan by an innings and 47 runs. The pitch for the first Test match was a flat deck and Pakistan, despite scoring over 500 runs in the first innings ended up losing the contest. England are currently 1-0 up in the series and they’ll look to take an unassailable lead in the second Test in order to seal the series.

Joe Root Uses Unique Method To Shine The Ball

As compared to the turf used in the first Test match, the Pakistan Cricket Board, for the second Test has prepared a pitch which has a lot of turn on offer. England are using three spinners in the Test match which gives them the best possible chance to win the Test match. England’s hopes of qualifying for the WTC Finals in many ways relies on this Test and the three Tests after this.

England need to win all their remaining four Test matches to give themselves the best possible chance to qualify for the World Test Championship finals. During the second Test match which is being played in Multan, Joe Root used a never seen before trick to shine the ball. Root was spotted rubbing the red cherry against Jack Leach’s head in order to shine the ball.

Babar Azam Rested For Remainder Of Pakistan vs England

Pakistan star Babar Azam wanted to continue playing in the Test series against England but had been rested for the two remaining matches as said by the Pakistan team management. Fast bowlers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah were also left out. The hosts opted for an all-out spin attack by recalling Noman Ali, Sajid Khan and Zahid Mahmood. Aamer Jamal being the solitary fast-bowling option.

Left-arm spinner Noman hasn’t featured in a test for more than a year, off-spinner Sajid played his last test against Australia earlier this year while leg-spinner Zahid is back for the first time since taking on England in Multan in 2022.
